Today’s more cars aren’t just about engines, they are a complex mix of mechanics and electronics all working together to give you a safe and comfortable drive. Your car has thousands of components and parts that all communicate and by using engine diagnostics we can help locate any issues.
As each new car appears, there are more and more components fitted which require access by computer to test if they are functioning ok. When a component is not functioning correctly anymore it will generally activate a warning light on the dashboard, this fault will also be recorded in the On Board Diagnostic system. By accessing the OBD with our computer[s] we can see where the fault is and then continue our testing to determine which part needs replacing. Without the diagnostic computer, a Technician may as well be looking for a “needle in a haystack”.
